Seattle’s Sonic Guild Opens Public Voting 

for the Music’s In Our Blood Grants

Seattle, WA – September, 2024 – Sonic Guild is proud to announce the opening of public voting for the Music’s In Our Blood grant. Beginning September 20th, fans and community members can vote for their favorite nominees among 10 outstanding Seattle-based musicians. This grant is presented in partnership with Bloodworks Northwest to recognize and support artists who make meaningful contributions to their communities through music.

The nominees are: Alex Johnston, Freddie Lee Toyoda, Haley Johnsen, Isabeau Waia’u Walker, Kenshi Killzzz, La Fonda, Lotus the Vibe, Marshall Hugh, Natt Meek, Sara Camille


“We’re excited to invite the public to get involved in this process and support these incredible musicians,” said Ben London, Executive Director of Sonic Guild. “This grant is all about celebrating artists who are making a real impact, and we’re thrilled to give the community a voice in choosing who will receive it.”

Starting September 20th, the public can vote via a Google form, casting two votes for two different artists. Voting will be tracked by email input, and everyone is encouraged to share the voting link with their networks to support their favorite nominees. The two artists who receive the most votes will each be awarded a $2,500 unrestricted grant and given additional performance opportunities.

Voting will remain open until October 18th, with the winners being announced on October 25th. Don’t miss your chance to support these incredible artists and help shape the future of Seattle’s music community.
