CPA, Owner
Crunching numbers and taking care of the financial side of your world is what Layne Lauritzen does best. He opened his accounting firm in 1985 and began to develop a concentration in the music industry. He is a locally and regionally recognized CPA who has developed an expertise in the business issues facing music professionals.
His practice is multifaceted, working with bands, singer songwriters, record labels, venues, booking agents, entertainment attorneys, publicists, and many others.
Layne enjoys helping his clients navigate through the complex maze of tax laws, income and expense tracking, tour accounting, and those pesky IRS problems that sneak up when least expected.
Layne was fortunate to volunteer with Austin Aqua Fest in the late 80s and early 90s where he was a Vice-Commodore for five years booking bands. Most recently, he served on the SIMS board for six years.
When he’s not playing mandolin with his bluegrass group, he enjoys listening to live music at the many venues in Austin.
He’s a native Texan, proud Red Raider, married to a Longhorn for 27 years, with three grown daughters. House divided, but sure makes for fun football weekends!
