promqueen (she/they) is a second generation queer Vietnamese American based in Austin, built on authenticity, vulnerability, tự nhiên (being natural), quirkiness, and cultural pride. promqueen writes music for herself, her family, and for other Asian Americans who have ever struggled with “not being Asian enough” while simultaneously “not being American enough.”An artist under mHart, Austin’s first and only Asian American music label, promqueen is wrapping up her second year of the project, with highlights including performances at ACL Music Fest, YAR Music Festival, Front Fest, and Rock the Park; being named KUTX Artist of the Month in May (AAPI Heritage Month); and hosting an emphatic sophomore PROM – an immersive event to celebrate her album “szn two.”Backed by her performance team of dancers, stage managers, stylists, and choreographers, promqueen aims to take the show on the road throughout 2025 ahead of her fall release of “szn three: part 1″Learn more at saypromqueen.com or mHart.media!instagram: @saypromqueen
