Tour Support Grants

Helping Independent Artists Stay on the Road
Touring is one of the most important ways musicians build sustainable careers. Every show introduces new audiences, strengthens fan communities, and creates opportunities that simply can't happen from home. But touring is also expensive.
Tour Support Grant applications are currently closed in Washington, Texas, and Colorado. Applications are expected to reopen in 2027. Check back here for updated dates and application details.
Rising fuel costs, lodging, vehicle maintenance, merchandise production, and the countless unexpected expenses of life on the road can make even the best opportunities financially out of reach. Sonic Guild's Tour Support Grants exist to help independent artists say yes to those opportunities. Rather than funding a single project, these grants invest in career momentum, helping musicians reach new audiences, grow their fanbase, and continue building long-term careers.
How the Program Works
Tour Support Grants support eligible artists based in Washington, Texas, and Colorado.
Through the 2026 program, artists could receive $150 per eligible tour date, up to $1,500 annually, to help offset the real costs of touring.
Grant funds may be used for:
Fuel and transportation
Hotels and lodging
Meals while touring
Vehicle repairs and maintenance
Van rentals
Backline rental
Merchandise production
Other eligible touring expenses
Unlike traditional sponsorships, artists retain complete ownership of their work and decide how the funding best supports their tour.
Program details and funding availability for 2027 will be announced when applications reopen.
Who Can Apply?
The program is designed for independent musicians pursuing professional careers.
For the 2026 program, applicants were required to:
Be based in Washington, Texas, or Colorado
Meet their chapter's residency requirements
Be at least 21 years old
Be touring outside their home market
Have a confirmed qualifying tour itinerary
Applications are reviewed by regional panels made up of music industry professionals who evaluate artistic merit, tour readiness, and the potential career impact of the proposed tour.
Updated eligibility requirements will be shared with the 2027 application.
Why Tour Support Matters
A few hundred dollars can make the difference between canceling a tour and reaching thousands of new listeners.
Since launching the program, Sonic Guild has helped artists perform hundreds of tour dates across North America, Europe, Japan, and Mexico.
Whether it's helping an artist buy gas to reach the next city, print merchandise before leaving home, or afford a safe place to sleep after a show, Tour Support Grants remove barriers so musicians can focus on what matters most: sharing their music.
Application Status and 2027 Timeline
All 2026 application cycles are now closed. We are no longer accepting Tour Support Grant applications in Washington, Texas, or Colorado for 2026.
Applications are expected to reopen in 2027. Opening dates, deadlines, qualifying tour dates, and notification timelines have not yet been announced. Check back here for updates.
